We’ve put together our 8 top tips for an award-winning entry into this year’s Qs to help you submit an entry that does your product justice.

1. Download the step-by-step guide
   We have a handy step-by-step guide that can be downloaded here. This goes through each stage of the entry process.
   
   
2. Answer questions fully
   Make sure you answer the questions in the entry form as fully as possible, including the important information highlighted. This will allow judges to gain a better understanding of your product and able to make a clearer judgement of the product. Missing out vital information, such as price and weight, makes it incredibly difficult to judge your product effectively.
   
   
3. Provide correct number of samples
   The products will be presented to the judges in the same way they are provided to consumers, who take more than taste into account when they make their purchases. Please ensure you provide the recommended number of products in their packaging in your delivery, so judges can view the product as a whole.
   
   
4. Follow delivery instructions
   Make sure you follow the delivery guidelines supplied. These instructions will provide full details of the delivery dates, times and clear instructions with when your category is due to be judged, to ensure your product can be judged in its best possible condition. Your Delivery Instructions document will be emailed out to you at the end of June.
   
   
5. Provide Packaging
   We don’t blind-taste products - our judges take packaging into consideration as part of the judging process. Please ensure that you send us your samples in the packaging that consumers see on the shop shelves so our judges can consider your product as a whole. Where product packaging is not available, please ensure you include a product shot with visuals of how the packaging will look.
   
   
6. Tell us your story
   Our judges love to hear the story behind a product, especially if you’re a small producer. Tell us your background, the inspiration behind the product and how it has evolved!
